Archetype
Basic personality patterns that are lived out from deep inside the collective culture and individually. The accepted use of archetype is to refer to a generic or defining example of a personality type, i.e. a warrior, caregiver or teacher. In the analysis of personality, the term archetype is often broadly used to refer to a stereotype, especially an oversimplification or epitome of type, i.e. the “greatest” warrior, caregiver or teacher. These archetypal patterns run deep and can be accessed using hypnotic work, meditation or psychotherapy to promote healing and self understanding.
