Does Rick consider himself to be a scientist?
You bet. As a Ph.D. clinical psychologist, I have a great love and respect for the scientific method. My father was a world-class neuroscientist and many of my family members are in medicine. I was weaned on science.

Hypnosis is a very powerful tool and it can lead us deeply into ourselves. If you are an extremely fragile person or have serious emotional problems, hypnotic methods should always be used under the supervision of a properly credentialed mental health professional.

Meditation is an altered mental state that shifts our attention from being a separate human being to the experience of ourselves as part of a larger whole – call it God, Spirit, or the quantum field. We notice things that we didn’t see before. We gain vast power to make our most noble dreams come true. And if we stick with meditation, we’ll achieve the purpose of life itself. From where did Rick get his methods and for how long has he been using them?
I began developing the methods as early as 1967. Throughout my career I’ve been a serious student of philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, chemistry, physics, biology and religion. During the last 30 years as a practicing clinician, I’ve had ample opportunity to synthesize this knowledge in my clinical practice.

I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from many gifted professors, colleagues and friends over the years, and that’s still true. I have very sharp friends and advisors who keep me straight. Still, for the most penetrating insight, I go into deep meditation and get my guidance from the one mind that exists back behind all minds – it’s always right.

Can someone benefit from Rick’s healing techniques if they are unable to practice them? e.g somehow disabled, bed-ridden, etc?
If someone can see or hear they can practice the techniques. If you have a friend or loved one who is too ill or disabled to practice the techniques, then you can practice the techniques and gain the skills and power needed to help them.

Can Rick’s methods help people with terminal diagnoses?
A terminal diagnosis is always an educated guess that the doctor hopes will prove wrong. There is a rule in mind-body medicine: if you are ill, 40 percent of your solution is going to come from physical means like surgery or chemotherapy, and 60 percent of your solution is going to come from your mind. My methods deliver 100 to 300 percent more mental power to tackle illness, and many times, this can make the deciding difference in a case where someone’s illness has been labeled “terminal.” For this reason, I often get startlingly good results with terminal diagnoses.

Yes. In fact, children are easy to reach because they haven’t been as programmed as adults and they’re less set in their ways.

Can anyone practice Rick’s methods and what type of people benefit most from the methods?
That’s the beauty of the methods. All people can use them and benefit from them, as long as they are willing to give the methods a try. I’ve used the methods successfully with people of every race, culture and socio-economic class, young and old, regardless of their religious perspective or world view (even headhunters in South America found the methods effective). If you have an open mind, you will do especially well with the methods. John Dewey, the great philosopher educator, said “Every great breakthrough in science requires an audacity of imagination.” And he was right. However, people with serious mental health issues should only use the methods under the supervision of a properly credentialed mental health professional.

How exactly do Rick’s methods work?
Everything in existence is made out of energy and energy is governed by thought. Thought occurs at 4 levels in the human mind, with each level more powerful than the last, all the way up to infinite mind. Most people are only using one level of thought – conscious thought, which is the weakest part of the mind. When you learn to “think” at all four levels no problem can resist your will, whether the issue is trivial or “life and death.”

My methods influence the subatomic energies which create matter. If you can conceive of an issue, my methods will give you the power to influence it. You can change the physical structure of your body, the mental and neurological structures associated with your mind, the structures associated with business or social issues. Use the methods and you will see for yourself.

What is Rick’s motivation for sharing these methods/techniques?
If you had methods like these, wouldn’t you share them? Long ago I found it too limiting to live my life for my own personal gain. I live in expanded states of awareness – the same place you’ll get to if you apply my methods. In those states, you perceive yourself as being one with everybody and everything, you live in bliss and your compassion is perfect. Having achieved that state of mind, I am compelled to do everything I can to alleviate human suffering and I naturally want to share what I have gained with everyone.

What is Rick’s view on traditional medicine/medical care and can the methods be used instead of traditional health care?
I am a big fan of traditional medicine, though as a society we need to improve our health care delivery system to ensure everyone has access to better care. My methods are “integrative” and should be used to complement conventional medical care, not replace it. The methods are not designed to be used instead of mainstream medicine. The methods I teach, when used together with traditional health care, will constitute tomorrow’s mainstream.

Are there any situations in which these techniques/methods could not/should not be used?
If you feel emotionally unstable or fragile, if you have a lot of trauma in your past, or if you are suffering from a serious mental health problem, you should use my methods only under the supervision of a properly credentialed mental healthcare provider.

Can Rick’s techniques/methods cure cancer?
This is the type of question designed to determine if someone is a quack. I believe in integrative healthcare: combining conventional medicine with my techniques. My methods do not replace traditional healthcare. Used in conjunction with mainstream medicine however, they can often provide the critical difference needed to overcome serious health problems like cancer.
