Miraculous Health will air in three half-hour episodes on public television stations throughout the US and Canada beginning January 2008. Episode One looks at the structure of the mind and the effectiveness of meditation and energy medicine. Episode Two describes the scourge of stress and methods that can be used to overcome it. Episode Three looks at power hidden deep in the mind and three methods that effectively unleash it: hypnosis, spirituality and expressive therapies. Among the most notable segments:

  • Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School’s Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, author of the landmark, multi-million selling The Relaxation Response, discusses the effects of stress and teaches his world-famous relaxation method on screen for the first time.
  • Dr. James Gordon, the nation’s premier mind-body medicine proponent who was chosen by the President to head the White House Commission on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine Policy, discusses the role of mind-body medicine in treating trauma victims in New Orleans and the Middle East.
  • Dr. Robert Hedaya, Professor at Georgetown University Hospital, founder of the National Center for Whole Psychiatry and world authority on Biological Psychiatry (the interactions among the mind, brain, body, nutrition and environment) discusses the role of spirituality in health and healing.
  • Dr. Xiao Ming Tian, Director of the Academy of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, advisor to the National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization and the Pan American Health Organization, demonstrates how improved energy flow in the body effects healing from an array of illnesses.
